These vessels act as an aesthetic & conceptual through line. They connect a desire to find new uses for the detritus that surrounds us, and living things—be that plants inside of them, or the lives that surround them, when placed in one’s home. More directly, I think making something beautiful, aggressive and useful from by-products, or more bluntly, trash, has merit. Making the physicality of life apparent is mixed up in my process, playing a substantial role in this practice.
This is a hand-made 1/1 vessel for you precious plant/s. Any variance, imperfections, or wabi-sabi in the finish or shape are intention and mimic the organic nature of your treasured specimen.
