Japanese Boro Bucket Hat

We've collaborated with our good friend, The Succulentist (Kono Tadayoshi), on a series of caps & bucket hats. These are made of Japanese Boro from the early 1900's and manufactured by Karl Factory, a purveyor or hand-made, one of a kind good.

These are embroidered with Edithcolea grandis, or the Persian carpet flower. The hypnotic and intricate patterns of E. grandis are right at home with the Boro.
