NJ Pine Barrens
This place looks more like the Florida panhandle than a typical mid-Atlantic forest. That’s due to the sandy, acidic soils and clean spring-fed waterways. We went out with Emmett & Andrew the other weekended and the pine barrens did not disappoint. We’ll be heading back out this summer, so let us know if you’re interested in attending next time. You can expect to see regionally specific + stunning carnivorous plants, fungus, amphibians, reptiles, birds and other endemic trees, ephemerals & other strange beauties.
